Last Week's Food Trip

We were all quite busy for the past weeks. Mom was not able to go to the market because of business meetings and conferences that she has to attend at work which are being held out of town. Before my foot was severely injured August 8 of last year, mom would ask me to go to the market with our housemaid and do the buying of stuff in the wet market for a week’s consumption. However, because I am just starting to drive again for 3 days now to be exact, mom does not want me going to places that are quite slippery for I might injure again my foot. My 2 sisters and brother were not used to going at the wet market which is why my mom never requested or should I say obliged them to do that task.

Last Monday, mom was again out of town. There is not much food in the refrigerator anymore which is why my siblings and I decided to buy whatever food we like to eat or craved for.

Shark’s fin from Pao-tsin. You can have it either fried or steamed; with or without rice.

These are Pesto Cheese Sticks from Pan De Manila bakery. I like these a lot especially if you get to buy them when they are freshly baked from the oven.

Turon Saging / Banana Lumpia or Turon. This is a Philippine dessert, made of thinly sliced bananas (preferably ripe plantains), a slice of jackfruit, dusted with brown sugar, rolled in a papery wrapper and fried. Brown sugar is further added while frying for additional sweetness.

My sister likes this so much that most of the time when she goes to the mall, she would take out an order of this from Tokyo Tokyo. I am not really fond of eating Japanese Food except for Ika Fry and California Maki which is why I did not take a minute to ask her what this is. LOL.

Siomai from Siomai House. For every styro, there are 4 pcs of siomai which only costs P25.00 and these are actually 6 orders!

Cheeseburger from McDonalds for my brother in addition to the 2 pcs ChickenJoy that he ordered from Jollibee. And mind you, he was able to finish all that! LOL

My sister-in-law had TLC from Jollibee.

These are just few food tips to give you an idea on what to munch when laziness sinks in or you don't have time to prepare food yourself.
