The other day, I was able to drive again after five months of just sitting on the passenger seat. From the time that I had a sever ankle sprain in August last year, I was not able to touch again the steering wheel of my car. It was only last Monday morning that I was able to do that again. I thought, or should I say hope that my foot was ready for that. I did not know what was running in my mind then. The minute I woke up, I walked around the house which serves as a "warm-up" for my left foot. After few minutes, I got the key and started the car engine. It was a bit painful whenever I stepped on the clutch to change gears. I thought of just driving to the other street and will go back home. While driving, I just noticed that every time I stepped on the clutch, there seem to be a clicking sound of screws and bolts. I just assumed that it was my joint adjusting to the pressure of the clutch pedal. After 15 minutes, I went back home. The moment I stepped out of the car, my ankle is a bit swollen and painful.... up to this moment. I don't regret trying that one out even if it made my foot look and feel the way it was before taking the drive. It was worth it knowing that soon, I will be able to drive again.
