The day came and because Aiann and I work in the graveyard shift, I began to text them as early as 6AM for they might forget. We’ll be having a breakfast at Rumpa which is a well-known restaurant here in Angeles City. I was late for about 15 minutes because my brother did not pick me up at the time that I have told him due to some errands he needs to do first.
When I entered at Rumpa, they were all smiling. I was so happy to see them – all of them except for Shella who was not able to come because she needs to consult an Ophthalmologist. The waiter came placing the menus on the table. Instead of us making an order, we were busy asking the waiter to take pictures of us…and mind you, three of us were bringing a camera. You do the math. LOL.

I ordered Enchilada and Burritos. Aiann had American breakfast which is scrambled egg, bacon, and hash brown and toasted bread with jelly. Probably because Phia missed Filipino breakfast, she requested for tapsilog (tapa, sinangag and itlog) and so did Anne.

While eating, we were so busy chatting about the things that had happened in the past from the time that we started as friends which were way back in high school, year 1993. We’ve been friends for 17 years now but Anne and I started our friendship since we were in Kindergarten because we were neighbors then.

We just laugh and talk as if we don’t care…and we really didn’t. LOL. It was really nice to be with people whom you know you can trust and count on no matter what happen. They are the type of friends that will stand by and through you especially when things don’t work according to your plans.

At 10 AM, we decided to leave the place and go to SM Clark. We visited stalls looking for shoes, bags and dresses. We talked about anything that our eyes set on as if it was our first time to see those things. Around 10:30 AM, Aiann left us to go home and buy Shan, her son lunch from McDonalds. She also took a bath because at 3 PM, she needs to go back again to work (without getting any sleep yet) to attend a training. By 12nn, they decided that we take our lunch. I was not hungry and I ask them if we can just have coffee at Starbucks but they didn’t agree so we end up at KFC.

We had bucket meal, additional go-go sandwich for Aiann and Salad D Lite for me. We were a bit noisy but who cares? We are enjoying every minute that we were together. It was a very nice experience and a memorable day as well. It would take another year or two before we will be able to have lunch and be able to stroll at the mall again, together. To Gandus, thank you for the fun! Hugs and kisses to four of you!

Hello Jac! How are you? This was so so nice & touching, nearly made me cry... It was my pleasure to have all of you as my friendly friends! It was such a lovely experience to be with you and to know that you were always there in times of happiness and sorrow.. Our family had a saddest year opener, my Dad passed away last January 7 but seeing you with the rest of the Gandus made me feel blessed and secured to have you as my friends and knowing that even if I would be back here in London, you would look after my family as you would look after your own.. Every get together we had means a lot, making us more aware of what is happening with one another's family life & love life.. Ehem.. It's really a blast every time we go out! Jac, its been a wonderful 17 years of knowing and having you as one of my friendly Gandus friends!
Thank you for the lovely friendship!
Lots of Love,
Phia
